Special Meeting to be held December 21st at 6pm at City Hall

A request has been received to hold a Special Meeting to finalize this lease purchase of a 2019 Ford F-150 for the Maintenance Department. The original direction to purchase a new truck was given in the Fall of 2021 and the amounts have been discussed many times over the last year, including at the last work session and the price range at the December 2022 Council Meeting. The pandemic presented a lot of challenges, and it took some time to find a truck that met the department needs while still fitting in the budget.
Overbrook Holiday Lights Tour

The Overbrook Police Department will be holding the holiday lights tour beginning December 1st. If you would like to go or have your house featured on the tour, please call (785) 215-4627 and speak with Chief Carlson. Officers will take those who sign up around town in police cars to look at holiday light displays and give out holiday goodie bags.

3rd Annual Operation Christmas for Kids

The Osage County Sheriff's Department along with other Osage County Public Safety Departments and Sgt. Nick Ledet with the Kansas Army National Guard have begun collecting toys for their 3rd Annual Operation Christmas for Kids toy drive. Their goal is to collect as many new toys as possible to make a difference for children in need this Christmas. If you'd like to donate new toys, there are collection boxes across Osage County, including here at Overbrook City Hall.
Old Meter Pit Lids for sale

11/15/22 Update: we are extending the deadline to 11/21/22 on the meter lids. There are very few of the 12" lids left. We also have approximately 15 old fire hydrants that we would offer for salvage at $40 each. Contact City Hall 785-665-7328 for more information.
