NOTICE: Public Hearing

The City of Overbrook, Kansas will hold a public hearing on Wednesday October 11, 2023 at 6:00pm in the City Hall, for the purpose of considering an application to be submitted to the Kansas Department of Commerce for Small Cities Community Development Block Grant funds under the Downtown Commercial Rehabilitation category. This will precede the regularly scheduled council meeting.
A specific project application to be discussed is the rehabilitation of a commercial building owned by EJ Garrett Property Management, LLC, Located at 802 Maple Street, Overbrook, Kansas. The proposed project will consist of exterior masonry improvements, windows, doors, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and exterior accessibility improvements. The estimated projected cost is $335,000. With the grant request of $225,000 of the project cost. Other project proposals produced at the hearing will be considered. Oral and written comments will be recorded and will become part of the City of Overbrook CBDG Citizen Participant Plan.
