Law Enforcement
The mission of the Overbrook Police Department is to provide the highest level of law enforcement services to the community we serve. The Police Department enforces all state laws and local ordinances. The Police Department also provides animal control and code enforcement services.
The Police Department also provides fingerprinting services for citizens. Fingerprinting can be done Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Call (785) 665-7230 to set up a time.
The Overbrook Police Department transports all arrested persons to the Osage County Jail located at 702 Ash St., Lyndon, KS 66451. The Jail can be reached at (785) 828-4991. All impounded animals are transported to Carbondale Veterinary Clinic located at 416 N. Topeka, St., Carbondale, KS 66414. Carbondale Veterinary Clinic can be reached at (785) 836-7212.
The Police Department is staffed by a full-time Chief of Police, Police/Municipal Court Clerk and six part-time officers.
