Yearly Events

Overbrook PRIDE sponsors the Annual City-Wide Garage Sale every 4th weekend in April. Pride Plant Sale same weekend.

Farmers Market runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Overbrook 4th of July Celebration and Bike Parade.

Overbrook Osage County Fair in August.

Steve Cross Memorial Children's Fishing Derby will be held in April starting in 2023. 2023 it will be on April 22nd.

Friends of the Library Book Sale in July.

Overbrook Growth Committee - Meeting Notes  (Mar 20)

The committee has completed or advised on most of the projects requested from Overbrook City Council and so our new focus will be the identification and exploration of funding opportunities to produce and promote business growth in Overbrook.  This includes sourcing grants, writing applications, and coordinating required business plans to applications.  If you have a business in Overbook with "shovel-ready" proposals, business plans, etc and are looking for funding please contact Jim Koger at cityclerk@overbrookks.com and the Growth Committee will be happy to include your plans in funding research.

 

Our next meeting will be Monday, April 3 at 6pm at City Hall.

Easter Egg Hunt and Lunch

Courtesy of Grace Community Church there's a free East Egg Hunt and lunch on April 8th, 2023 at the shelter near the kids pond at the Overbrook City Lake. The Easter Egg Hunt is at 11:30am (bags provided). Free Lunch (hotdog, chips, drink) is from Noon-1:00pm.

Easter Sunrise Service

There is an Easter Sunrise Service on April 9th, 2023 at around 6:45am at the Overbrook City Park at the south rotary shelter near the Children's Fishing Pond.

Overbrook City Council Meeting

15th Annual Steve Cross Memorial Fishing Derby for kids

On April 22nd (rain date May 6th, 2023), the City of Overbrook's Park and Rec Committee along with the Overbrook Rotary and Overbrook Pride are once again sponsoring the 15th Annual Steve Cross Memorial Fishing Derby for kids, toddlers to sixteen. We have five age groups to allow more winners. We will again be presenting trophies and plaques to the winners as well as tackle. All participants receive a goodie bag of sinkers, hooks, a stringer, small plastic tackle container containing lures and baits furnished by tackle companies, and a door prize furnished by our local businesses. Look for more information in the upcoming months!
