Yearly Events

Overbrook PRIDE sponsors the Annual City-Wide Garage Sale every year on the 4th weekend in April. Pride Plant Sale same weekend.

Steve Cross Memorial Children's Fishing Derby will be held in July.

Farmers Market runs from Memorial Day to Early October.

Overbrook 4th of July Celebration and Bike Parade.

Friends of the Library Book Sale in July.

Overbrook Osage County Fair in August.

City Council Work Session

The City Council holds a work session on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00pm. All welcome to attend. 

Coffee with a Cop

Begins: 6/29/2026 - 9:00am
Ends: 6/29/2026

The Overbrook Public Safety Committee meets on the last Monday of each month at 9:00am.

Parks and Recreation Meeting

Begins: 7/1/2026 - 7:00pm
Ends: 7/1/2026

The Parks and Recreation Board meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm at City Hall.

Freedom Festival

Begins: 7/3/2026 - 6:00pm
Ends: 7/3/2026

Thursday July 3rd. Food begins at 6pm. Please bring a side and/or a dessert to share. Patriotic ceremony and flag raising will begin at 7:15. The live music will start at 7:30 and the fireworks will begin at dark (approx 9:15). Water games will be available for those who want to participate(dress accordingly and bring a towel) as well as 9 square and basketball for the youth! Bring lawn chairs, blankets, food, and bug spray and expect a beautiful, fun filled evening full of food, fun, fellowship and FIREWORKS!!

4th of July Festival

Begins: 7/4/2026 - 7:00am
Ends: 7/4/2026 - 10:30pm

Join us in Celebration of the 250th Birthday of America! Start it off with Biscuits and Gravy at the American Legion from 7:00am-10:00am. The Children's Bike Parade starts at 10:00am at the water tower on Ash Street. Fun family activities following the parade at the Fairgrounds. Free swim at the pool from 12-5. Evening events start at 6pm at Overbrook City Lake. Food Trucks - Snow Cones - Inflatable Water Slide & Basketball (free) - Free Watermelon & Glow Sticks - Face painting - DJ Dusty Workman. Fireworks Display to start at approximately 9:45pm.

Growth Committee Meeting

The Overbrook Growth Committee meets the first Monday of month at 6:00pm at City Hall.

Overbrook Fire Board

The Overbrook Fire Board meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm at the Fire Hall.

Overbrook City Council Meeting

Overbrook's City Council meets the 2nd Wednesday every month at City Hall at 6pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Keep an eye out for an Agenda the Monday before council.

Lake Committee Meeting

The Overbrook Lake Committee will be meeting on April 11th at 7:00pm at City Hall.

18th Annual Steve Cross Memorial Children's Fishing Derby

Begins: 7/11/2026 - 8:30am
Ends: 7/11/2026 - 11:30am

Registration is Free!

When: Saturday July 11th, 2026

Location: Bob Klingler Children's Fishing Pond at Jones Park in Overbrook

Registration: Begins at 8:30am for grades 3 and younger. Group will fish from 9:00am to 9:45am -- Grades 4 through age 16 registratrion begins at 9:15. Group will fish from 10:00 to 11:30.

Prizes for all will be distributed immediately following the conclusion of each session. Our hope is that the participants can use their new equipment all summer long.

The Derby is called the Steve Cross Memorial Children's Fishing Derby to honor Steve Cross as he was an integral part of this derby since its inception and his contributions to it were big-hearted and priceless.

Contestants must be 16 years of age or younger. The rain date is July 18th 2026 (same times)

American Legion Meeting

The Overbrook American Legion meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:30am at the American Legion!

Friends of the Library Book Sale

Begins: 7/23/2026 - 10:00am
Ends: 7/25/2026

Friends of the Library Book sale will be on July 23rd, 24th and 25th at the Overbrook Public Library. Bag Day on Friday and Saturday - Fill a bag for $5.00.

Thursday 10:00am - 7:00pm  --  Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm  --  Saturday 9:00am - 1:00pm.
