Tips
for filling out the building permit application-
Copies of plans may be substituted for
drawings. The area where the building is
to take place should be staked out or marked in some way before the building
inspector processes the application.
Once
the application is completed, return
it to City Hall or call Bob Call to inspect the property. (665-3390 or
785-806-9502).
The property owner keeps the white copies of the
application and permit after it’s been approved. Permit is to be displayed where it is visible from the adjacent
roadway.
Should the application be denied, the applicant may
request a variance from the Planning Commission.
Ordinance No. 290, which stipulates that the
connection to the city sewer system be made under the supervision of the
Building Superintendent before any underground portions of the building sewer
are covered, was published in the Osage County Herald and is now in effect.
